    About the Team: Wellmark’s Care Management Operations team supports a diverse department by providing training, technical writing, system administration, project support, and quality review.


    About the Role: You'll coordinate and deliver comprehensive classroom and virtual-based training to audiences across Medical Management. This includes proactively maintaining and updating existing course materials/guidelines, customizing job aids and training content based on audience needs, and developing and delivering course content for simplified training efforts. In addition, you’ll coach and mentor new Medical Management staff. You won't do this alone, so a team-based approach to work is key to success!

    Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

    • Associate’s Degree or direct and applicable work experience.
    • 1+ year of experience creating and/or facilitating classroom training programs.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective delivery of training to diverse audiences, including clinical staff. Engaging in delivery with ability to encourage participant discussion and engagement.
    • Effective planning, time management, and organization skills. Flexible and adaptable with changing priorities.
    • Attentive to details. Ability to coordinate projects with guidance from Trainer II and/or Team Leader.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships. Ability to give and take feedback in a constructive manner, and to foster cooperation and collaboration across teams.
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Technical aptitude to learn new applications, software, and systems quickly, and the ability to teach to others.
    • Ability to translate technical information and processes into easy-to-understand training presentations or documentation.
    • Ability to travel as needed.

    Hiring Specifications Preferred

    • Health insurance, health care, or related corporate experience.
    • Learning Management System (LMS), Adobe Captivate, GoToWebinar or related technical experience.
    • Experience consulting with subject matter experts to elicit content and develop deliverables.
    • Knowledge of change management principles.

    Job Accountabilities

    a. Delivers and coordinates classroom and online-based trainings to meet the needs of Medical Management. Work with other Trainers and/or external vendors on course content to ensure objectives and outcomes are met, content is relevant to audience and training sessions are delivered timely, effectively and within budget.

    b. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify appropriate resources and/or training aids to meet the needs of Medical Management. Assist in the design and development of course materials as appropriate, including instructor led, online training courses, webinars, and conference calls, to meet just-in-time training needs. Collaborate with Team Leaders to coordinate and facilitate the onboarding of all new Medical Management team members and tailor the material based.

    c. Proactively maintain and update training materials, including guidelines and online documentation, for content and any necessary design changes. Will work with multiple applications to customize trainings. Coordinates and tracks training delivered to staff. Coordinates and /or maintains training materials, supplies and internal/external facilities.

    d. Monitor the effectiveness of programs/course design and delivery through classroom/web interaction. Coordinate and track survey responses and work to continually improve training offerings based on feedback.

    e. As needed, may participate in and/or facilitate internal work groups or projects with Wellmark employees from Medical Management or from other divisions.

    f. Ensure the successful onboarding and continued development of Medical Management staff. Will coach and mentor new Medical Management staff or staff accessing tools and resources.

    g. Other duties as assigned.
