    About the Career:  Wellmark is currently hiring a Sr. Business Systems Analyst to join our Enterprise Data Management team! In this role, you will consult with the business and technology areas to understand business functions, processes, challenges, opportunities, and systems impacted. You will validate alternative system solutions to meet overall business requirements and analyze, model and document requirements in support of solutions. You will collaborate with Wellmark Technology partners on projects of varying scope, size, and complexity, including larger scale, more complex, cross-functional initiatives, to ensure solutions and teams are aligned to meet business objectives. You will also serve as a coach and mentor to other business analysts.

You have a passion for coaching/mentoring other analysts to assist in their development and growth.

    Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

    Bachelor's Degree in related field or direct and applicable work experience

    • Minimum of 4 years experience in business and technical systems analysis, including demonstrated experience developing users stories and eliciting functional and non-functional requirements
    • Previous involvement with enterprise wide, cross functional and complex projects that involve multiple business areas
    • Experience with different phases of testing (such as end-to-end, system integration, user acceptance, functional and non-functional)
    • Knowledge of software development processes and understanding of technology, systems environments, and enterprise architecture
    • Effective written and oral communication skills, including, facilitation and presentation skills
    • Demonstrated experience brokering consensus among stakeholders, including issue resolution, negotiation, and conflict management skills

    Hiring Specifications Preferred

    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
    • Strong negotiation skills to explore alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties.
    • Prior experience with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) standards/framework
    • SQL Query writing experience
    • Professional Certifications (e.g. Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA))

    Job Accountabilities

    a. Responsible for projects of varying scope, size, and complexity, including larger scale, more complex, cross-functional initiatives that involve multiple business areas.

    b. Work with Wellmark stakeholders to define and develop technical solutions. Ensure the correct stakeholders are actively participating and collaborate with Technology partners and stakeholders to clarify understanding of high level business needs and requirements.

    c. Elicit, analyze, model, and document detailed requirements by using a variety of elicitation techniques, understanding business processes and technology solutions, and ensures strategic and project goals alignment.

    d. Validate requirements with stakeholders and the project team by communicating and presenting requirements artifacts, models, and deliverables appropriate to stakeholder needs.

    e. Manage requirements and facilitate requirements change decisions by using traceability tools and techniques, prioritization techniques, approval processes, and requirements change management processes.

    f. Adhere to software development lifecycle (SDLC), operational procedures, and project management methodologies by performing business systems analysis.

    g. Ensure work is in alignment with Wellmark's overall strategy and organizational goals, including business and technology roadmaps.

    h. Train, coach and mentor business systems and test analysts as needed. May assist and/or interface in testing functions as appropriate.
