    About the Career: In this role, you’ll be assisting with setup of new automatic file transfers (AFT) and schedule file processing in response to requests and business needs. Using knowledge of computer programming and scripts, monitor and perform AFT duties for all activities internally and externally.  Ensure data integrity and recoverability on a 24x7 schedule.

    If hired, the AFT Analyst will be expected to work one on call weekend every month and carry an incident pager daily. Wellmark will provide all equipment.

    Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

    • Associate’s Degree or direct and applicable work experience
    • 1+ years’ of working in IT Operations/Administration, any combination of network administration, operating systems, database administration/management
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills demonstrated while working with internal and external stakeholders to understand and identity their needs while developing and maintaining relationships 
    • Experience managing or directing multiple activities simultaneously to accomplish goals along with measuring and evaluating processes, services and products to meet business needs
    • Exposure working with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of problems and issues

    • Experience working in a Unix system
    • Ability to understand scripting language

    Job Accountabilities

    a. Monitor and perform AFT functions including operating multiple control consoles, online terminals, printers, electrical support systems, fire suppression systems, and environmental control systems within the Wellmark Operations Center ensuring data integrity and recoverability on a 24 x 7 schedule.

    b. Follow prescribed guidelines and operational procedures. Ensure the appropriate documentation is captured and provided to leadership as required.

    c. Participate in testing business continuity systems, processes, and procedures to ensure service restoration within established Service Level Agreements SLA.

    d. Perform construction and routine maintenance time sensitive and adhoc AFT schedules.

    e. Provide guidance and technical assistance to Operations stakeholders in the design, installation, and maintenance of AFT systems.

    f. Participate in the planning of system conversions ensuring AFT responsibilities and time line requirements are attained.

    g. Assist AFT Engineerson researching new integrated system designs, technologies, architectures, and products to recommend solutions to enhance the current system.

    h. Maintain compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, licensing, governance, and contractual requirements by helping to establish and monitor effective processes and procedures.

    i. Other duties as assigned.
