As an HRIS Analyst with the HR Operations Team you will partner with others across Human Resources as well as with Technology and with our third-party vendors to provide proactive service relative to Wellmark’s human resources systems. You’ll use your knowledge of key HR business processes to provide input in planning for the HR technology roadmap and participate in system upgrades/updates, implementations and the delivery of new functionality as well as provide escalated analytical and technical support for these systems.

    What does it take to make the cut? At least 4 years of experience supporting a variety of HRIS systems – experience with Workday is a big plus – including serving as liaison to third-party vendors and conducting a variety of configuration, troubleshooting and implementation activities. You’ll have experience eliciting stakeholder requirements and delivering solutions that address them (reports, system enhancements, etc.). You will have a track record of building effective relationships with both stakeholders and cross-functional team members, driving efficient, service-oriented delivery of results.

    Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

    Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or direct and applicable work experience

    • Minimum 4 years of experience supporting HRIS systems including:
      • Experience testing & troubleshooting
      • Experience developing user documentation
      • Experience training end users
      • Serving as the lead interface with an external (3rd party) vendor (hosted solution)
    • Demonstrated ability to capture stakeholder requirements and build and develop reports accordingly
    • Ability to demonstrate functional knowledge of key HR business processes (employee life cycle, compensation, benefits, payroll, and supporting operations)
    • Experience with and demonstrated skills and competencies in project management
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to consult with all levels of the organization on areas of expertise
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze a situation and provide clear, sequential and logical information and instructions
    • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to learn new systems quickly

    Hiring Specifications Preferred

    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
    • Previous Workday and/or ADP experience
    • Experience coaching, mentoring and providing guidance to others

    Job Accountabilities

    a. Partner with HR business stakeholders, Technology and team members to understand the technical implications of general business processes and related system applications. Provide technical and analytical support by researching, troubleshooting and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected system results or process flaws. Recommend solutions and alternate methods to meet requirements as business dictates. Provide technical support as needed in the administration of maintenance activities, including HRIS security administration/access levels within Human Resources.

    b. Provide analytical and technical support for the implementation, administration and testing of HR system upgrades, patches and general maintenance issues. Address technical issues and situations as needed to ensure successful outcomes. Recommend process improvements to optimize functionality of HR systems.

    c. Serve as a HRIS technical resource for implementation of annual HR programs and business processes, such as compliance reporting, open enrollment, performance management and compensation administration activities. Participate in the development of related electronic interfaces, data reporting requirements and system troubleshooting and maintenance related to these programs.

    d. Assist in the preparation of system requirements, design documents and test strategies for integrations and implementations impacting HR/PE systems. Partner with HRIS support team to analyze and troubleshoot vendor configuration problems/failures in a timely manner and review and implement any necessary changes according to business requirements.

    e. Serve as a technical resource on complex report writing, metrics dashboards and systems training. Adhere to data governance documentation and practices, and educate human resources stakeholders as necessary to ensure data integrity. Support efforts and be a resource to HR partners/leaders to ensure efficient and effective use of manager self-service.

    f. May participate in the development of the HR technology roadmap, providing analytical, testing and production support services.

    g. Use knowledge of Wellmark HR systems and processes, along with industry standards, and best practices to consult on functionality, usability, problem resolution and enhancements.

    h. Provide guidance and consult on tasks needed to maintain, enhance and develop the HRIS capabilities. Work with team member to prioritize tasks and deliverables. Manage expectations on scheduling and delivery while ensuring stakeholder’s needs are met.
