    About the Career: In this role, you are responsible for the establishment and execution of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) capabilities across Wellmark. You will lead the RPA program and work with stakeholders across the organization to solve business pain points and enhance customer experience by leveraging RPA solutions.

    Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

    • Bachelor’s Degree or direct and applicable work experience
    • 7+ years of proven experience in a combination of the following:
      • 2+ yrs. leading and managing enterprise-wide programs
      • Establishing or maintaining a Center of Excellence
      • Developing governance around a new or existing program
      • Vendor management of consultant staffing resources
      • Translating corporate strategy into an executable roadmap and delivery plan including understanding of current business and technology roadmaps/processes/strategies and defining future state
      • Conducting end to end process evaluations to identify improvement opportunities and implement future state designs 
    • Leadership typically gained through a combination of project and informal leadership that demonstrates competencies 
    • Ability to effectively guide others, modeling adaptability, and inspiring strong organizational performance through periods of transformation, ambiguity, and complexity
    • Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Ability to analyze information/data, identify trends, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to facilitate crucial conversations and influence stakeholders
    • Advanced consulting skills and understanding of the business as well as its interdependencies. Ability to evaluate customer and stakeholder needs when developing recommendations
    • Familiarity in business process re-engineering and change management

    Hiring Specifications Preferred

    • Master’s Degree
    • Health Insurance industry experience
    • Experience with establishing RPA Center of Excellence
    • Experience managing technology programs / projects
    • Experience implementing solution on cloud / hosted environments
    • Professional Certification(s): Program Management Professional (PgMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), P
    • Prior experience delivering IT solutions either through development of applications or managing technology projects

    Job Accountabilities

    a. Provide day today leadership of financial and human resources, primarily focusing on employee and leader coaching and mentoring, development, performance management and improvement, coordination and budgeting for staff, and departments specific functions/services. Ensure succession plan is in place for key positions.

    b. Establish and lead Wellmark's Robotics Process Automation RPA program driving widespread adoption and deployment of RPA across the enterprise through stakeholder collaboration and engagement. Will strategically plan and support the scaling of RPA capabilities across the organization in conjunction with key business and technology stakeholders.

    c. Establish standards, methodologies, and shared capability development, with the goal of ensuring consistent excellence in delivery including the development of key performance indicators and managing operational and financial program performance reviews.

    d. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day today operations of the department develop and implement policies and programs as necessary.

    e. Identify, prioritize, and scope RPA opportunities with stakeholders across the organization and oversee project delivery across the RPA lifecycle through close collaboration with other stakeholders who will have accountability over script development, delivery, maintenance and support.

    f. Annually evaluates existing RPA solutions and identify opportunities for improvement as overall organization and customer technologies advance.

    g. Manages the financials of the entire portfolio of automations and reports the ongoing total investment and value delivered from the RPA program including working with finance to review business cases. Report total investment and value delivered from RPA initiatives.

    h. Manages relationships, expectations and outcomes of RPA vendors and other third parties.

    i. Ensure the use of data and information is maximized within the organization by staying current on and evaluate emerging tools, techniques and technologies for potential Wellmark applications. Understand and use appropriate tools to analyze, identify and resolve business and/or technical problems. Advise on industry best practices in RPA, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

    j. Resolve project issues as escalated and ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and meet internal and external customer expectations.

    k. Other duties as assigned.
