    What's the role? You will be energized and responsible for leading a team of Informatics Analysts that support Wellmarks corporate analytic and reporting needs that align with business objectives and ultimately drive decisions. You will own the business intelligence strategy and execution for the business analytics function. You will Ensure that data, integrated consultation and reporting expertise is provided to internal stakeholders, key decision makers and/or leadership across the organization. Lead the development of enterprise reporting standards focusing on data visualization, including the creation of a Business Intelligence BI strategy that creates/optimizes a selfservice reporting model for leadership across the organization.

    Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field or direct and applicable work experience (preferred STEM or quantitative discipline (e.g. Finance, Accounting))
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a business analytics analyst or business intelligence role where you have applied advanced analytics (e.g. statistical modeling, creating dashboard visualizations, machine learning)
    • Leadership skills typically gained through a combination of project or informal leadership that demonstrates competencies
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships of collaboration and trust
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to proactively engage with business stakeholders
    • Prior experience in change management philosophiesd
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to gather data and develop and effectively communicate solutions to all levels of the organization
    • Demonstrated ability to create and execute the strategic vision

    Hiring Specifications Preferred

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field
    • 4+ years of health insurance experience or other risk based business(e.g. financial services or other insurance)
    • 4+ years of report writing/analysis experience
    • Experience creating self-service data discovery dashboards for stakeholders 
    • Prior formal process improvement/workflow management experience (e.g. Six Sigma/Lean methodologies)
    • Prior experience using statistical programming tools for advanced analysis and complex data integration
    • Prior experience coaching/mentoring team on analytical tools and techniques 

    Job Accountabilities

    a. Provide leadership and daytoday management of financial and human resources, primarily focusing on employee coaching, development, performance improvement, coordination and budgeting for staff and departments specific functions/services. Support business objectives and produce results that are effective, accurate, and timely and on target to meet HR team and stakeholder needs.

    b. Lead and manage Wellmarks corporate and divisional needs by engaging with key departments and stakeholders, identifying opportunities on which to act, initiating process improvement strategies, and providing expertise for projects, data, reporting, and analytics.

    c. Define and drive enterprise reporting standards focusing on data visualization including the creation of a BI strategy that creates/optimizes a selfservice report model for leadership across the organization. Collaborate with business stakeholders on the definition, design, execution, and maintenance of data extracts to meet critical business requirements.

    d. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and support corporate and process improvement initiatives, meeting aggressive timeframes. Provide consultation to team members and other Wellmark departments regarding appropriate use of data and reporting of business process metrics.

    e. Manage daily administration, planning and execution of BI tools. Support business needs through strong relationships and ensuring solutions support overall strategic priorities.

    f. Contribute to the management, monitoring, and improvement of BI tools. Engage and collaborate with application delivery, infrastructure operations teams to ensure the successful implementation and execution of delivered solutions.

    g. Establish policies, procedures, tools and standards, in conjunction with insert who leaders and other applicable stakeholders. Ensure the deployment and maintenance of BI solutions, are successfully integrated within Wellmarks business environment.

    h. Drive continuous improvements and manage change to meet evolving stakeholder reporting/consulting requirements by conducting ongoing stakeholder analysis and implementing innovative solutions to achieve improved satisfaction with reporting, analytical, and consulting services.

    i. Facilitate and or organize training of the team and potentially others outside the team to achieve distribution of data knowledge, optimal utilization of tools, technical and consultative skills, and applications.

    j. Lead the development, implementation and oversight of report rationalization across teams, as well as automated and selfservice report capabilities.

    k. Provide leadership of the development, design, and implementation of data initiatives, such as the data warehouse, data consumption layer, etc.

    l. Other duties as assigned.
