    About the Career: In this role, you will be configuring and developing solutions within our Service management platform for our IT Service Catalog. You will collaborate with team members while looking at the scope of a solution while following the ITIL methodology. You will utilize established relationships and consult with Wellmark leaders on programming and process improvement enhancements. 


    Ideal candidate: Wellmark’s ideal candidate will know all the “ins” and “outs” of our Service management tool, BMC Remedy. If coding in Javascript, building relationships across the enterprise, and providing excellent customer service energizes you, then this is the position for you!

    Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or direct and applicable work experience
    • Minimum 7 years of experience within IT with a combination of the following:
      • Minimum 4 years of experience in application development
        • Experience with BMC Remedy
        • javascript experience
        • structured and/or object-oriented programming experience
      • design experience
      • providing innovative solutions to complex issues
    • Demonstrated proficiency developing technical solutions to meet the needs of the business
    • Understanding of IT infrastructure and the implications to software development 
    • Demonstrated understanding of various methodologies, including project and software development 
    • Demonstrated analytical ability and strong problem solving skills, with the ability to effectively troubleshoot 
    • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively translate technical language to a non-technical audience 

    Hiring Specifications Preferred

    Job Accountabilities

    a. Lead system development and programming for highly complex programs. Coordinate the preparation, coding, testing, and debugging of complex programs including the analysis and development of work flows.

    b. Implement innovative and costeffective business solutions for multiple applications and systems, utilizing information technology, business and industry trends.

    c. Provide training and guidance to programmers. Possesses advanced knowledge of several programming languages, including current complex languages.

    d. Analyze, develop, test, implement, document and maintain software and systems that meet Wellmarks evolving business needs.

    e. Provide production support for complex research and root cause.

    f. Support and adhere to Wellmark software development lifecycle SDLC, operational procedures and development and security standards by following required process.

    g. Coordinate with company resources to accomplish integration of products and processes and complex solutions. Provide timely and accurate results, and exceptional customer service.

    h. Provide training and mentoring on how to use new or enhanced software or applications.

    i. Mentor and train Wellmark Technology staff on developing and implementing solutions.

    j. Participate in project proposals, estimates and proofofconcept activities as needed.

    k. Participate in industry/knowledge reference groups and organizational IT related review groups relative to position. Provide direction for enterprise standards. Conduct code reviews and monitor standard adherence.

    l. Report issues and status to leader.
