    Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

    • Bachelor’s Degree or direct and equivalent work experience.
    • 1+ year of marketing, communications or related experience, including:
      • A focus on copy writing and editing.
      • Project management experience. Ability to support multiple cross-functional projects.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce creative, engaging content that meets business/stakeholder and customer needs.
    • Effective consulting skills and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to develop relationships of collaboration and trust.
    • Effective planning, time management, prioritization, and organization skills. Ability to measure, evaluate, and refine work processes and project elements in order to achieve organizational goals while maintaining customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
    • Self-starter who can work well independently or as a member of a cross-functional team. Adaptable and flexible with changing priorities.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, such as Word, PowerPoint, or Excel, and other software applications.

    Hiring Specifications Preferred

    • Bachelor’s Degree.
    • 3-5 years of applicable work experience managing strategic marketing communications; customer communications a plus.
    • Insurance, investment, health and wellness, or similar experience.

    Job Accountabilities

    a. Write clear, concise, resultsoriented copy for a variety of communication mediums. Proofread all copy/content thoroughly and edit material in accordance with Wellmark and AP style manuals.

    b. Serve as MarCom business partner with crossfunctional teams to recommend and execute communication tactics based on approved strategies and singular business needs. Consult across divisions to scope, review and approve content in support of the defined communication strategies.

    c. Coordinate the execution and timely delivery of assigned work tasks, following documented workflow, production cycles and approval processes. Maintain detailed project and tracking documentation.

    d. Identify appropriate indicators that measure success of established communication strategies. Track metrics related to communication tactics and provide to senior team members and stakeholders as needed.

    e. Drive overarching creative delivery of assigned projects, ensuring collaboration and alignment among copy, design and digital experience components.

    f. Consult with communication peers to ensure that consistent messaging is integrated into other segmentspecific communication mediums.

    g. Consult with communication manager or leader on the development of annual editorial calendars and segment communication plans.

    h. Demonstrate understanding of Wellmarks products and services. Obtain guidance from senior team members about Wellmark business processes and apply it to communication tactics.

    i. Must comply with Iowa and South Dakota insurance Regulations, NCQA regulations and any other applicable regulatory authority.

    j. Other duties as assigned.
