    About the team: You will be working on the Digital Consumer build team focused on building new applications for Members, Prospects, and the general public.  Our team has a variety of .NET and Angular applications.  We support digital properties that are member facing, including Wellmark.com and our member portal called MyWellmark.  Our new development is mainly focused on the MEAN stack, and we are two years into a multi-year migration of our apps to the MEAN stack.  We are currently working on a continuous integration pipeline.  We are migrating to Amazon Web Services (AWS). This team is cross-functional, follows Agile development practices, and works closely with other teams throughout the Application Delivery division of Wellmark IT.

    About the Career: Continue your developer career with Wellmark as a Senior IT Solutions Developer focused on our consumer facing digital properties.  In this role, you will conduct systems analysis, design, and maintenance which support Wellmark’s business and Wellmark Technology applications. You will lead analysis and programming related to systems analysis, design, integration and maintenance to support Wellmark’s business and Wellmark Technology applications. In addition, you will build relationships with Wellmark leaders and act as consultant on business process improvements and technology enhancements or capabilities.

    Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

     

    • Associates Degree or equivalent and applicable work experience
    • 4+ years’ experience to include any combination of the following:
      • Angular 2 or newer, NodeJS, Javascript,Typescript
      • design experience
      • providing innovative solutions to complex issues
    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties
    • Ability to set and meet established time-frames while assuring data and information integrity
    • Experience prioritizing and managing time with little direction
    • Previous experience troubleshooting and developing creative technical solutions
    • Ability to communicate with and coach/mentor team members
    • Demonstrated experience in software development life cycle methodologies

    Hiring Specifications Preferred

     

    • Associates Degree
    • Angular 4 experience
    • C# and SQL development experience
    • Knowledge of architecture
       

    Job Accountabilities

    a. Implement innovative and cost-effective business solutions for multiple applications and systems, utilizing information technology, business and industry trends.

    b. Analyze, develop, test, implement, document and maintain software and systems that meet Wellmark's evolving business needs.

    c. Provide production support for complex research and root cause.

    d. Support and adhere to Wellmark software development lifecycle SDLC, operational procedures and development and security standards by following required process.

    e. Coordinate with company resources to accomplish integration of products and processes and complex solutions. Provide timely and accurate results, and exceptional customer service.

    f. Provide training and mentoring on how to use new or enhanced software or applications.

    g. Mentor and train BTS staff on developing and implementing solutions.

    h. Participate in project proposals, estimates and proof-of-concept activities as needed.

    i. Participate in industry/knowledge reference groups relative to position.

    j. Report issues and status to leader.

    k. Other duties as assigned.
