  • Job Summary

    Our Digital Content Consultant will develop, plan, and execute digital content strategies in support of our digital properties - e.g., member, broker, employer, and provider. This individual will represent the segment/business needs and audience perspectives while working closely with the stakeholder experience team in respect to new development and to resolve any technical challenges. Additionally, this individual will collaborate across the organization with key stakeholders and Marketing team members to identify, support, and enhance online marketing and content development initiatives to further expand the use and effectiveness of Wellmark's websites.

    Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

    • Bachelor’s Degree or direct and applicable work experience.
    • 4+ years of digital marketing or related experience, including demonstrated experience writing content for websites and other electronic mediums.
    • 1+ year of desktop publishing experience.
    • Familiarity with measurement tools, such as Google Analytics. Ability to measure, analyze, and monitor findings. Analytical and attentive to details.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders or teams.
    • Basic consulting skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. Ability to maintain awareness of customer needs and develop solutions that meet expectations.
    • Self-starter with strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills with demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision and as a member of a team to plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously. Proven ability to drive results through collaboration.
    • Ability to scope, timeline, resource, and budget projects. Demonstrated delivery of successful projects.
    • Proficiency utilizing the Microsoft Office suite. Aptitude to learn new software quickly.

    Job Accountabilities

    a. Responsible for the development, planning and execution of digital content strategies in support of Wellmark's digital properties e.g. member, broker, employer, and provider. Work with a cross-departmental team, own the maintenance and development for the content calendar for MyWellmark, Wellmark.com and Employer portal.

    b. Consult with business stakeholders to understand their digital business needs. Provide digital expertise to help the business define their digital strategy to meet business needs.

    c. Will collaborate across the organization with key stakeholders and Marketing team members to identify, support and enhance online marketing and content development initiatives to further expand the use and effectiveness of Wellmark's websites.

    d. Will set analytics for digital content strategy and define key performance indicators KPIs. Collaborate with Digital Content Analyst to collect and analyze metrics through the creation of dashboards related to defined content strategy and KPIs.

    e. In collaboration with the Director Stakeholder Experience, work to define the Search Engine Optimization SEO strategy and lead content development to align with the strategy by leveraging best practices to improve search results.

    f. Create, develop and manage digital content, including writing original content, copy/editing, and proofreading vendor supplied digital content.

    g. Will create and maintain content site map and governance plan to ensure changes and new additions are in line with defined plan. Ensure appropriate alignment of digital content to customer journey maps and to the stakeholder experience strategy.

    h. In coordination with key stakeholders, craft site promotions, email newsletters, and online outreach campaigns. Partner with Content Strategy team and Marketing partners to understand business needs and identify best opportunities to leverage digital content capabilities.

    i. Monitors and coordinates daily incoming digital content change requests via the web request form, prioritize the work based on its impact on the company's Web presence, and complete the work in accordance with department service level agreements. Distribute work requests to other Digital Content team members as needed. Update leadership of project work load/deliverables on a regular basis.

    j. Work closely with cross functional teams to execute content related to project deliverables responsible for the use and support of traffic management system within the department including an in-depth knowledge of workflow, production cycles and project management processes and tasks.

    k. Maintain and align digital content with Wellmark brand strategies, positioning and aesthetics. Develop mastery of Wellmark's products and services. Ensure content compliance with Wellmark brand style guide, Iowa and South Dakota insurance regulations, MA/ND, association, NCQA regulations, and any other applicable regulatory authority.

    l. Stay current with and adapting new and monitoring other Plans sites. Make suggestions and recommendations to the rest of the team and assist with implementation.
