    About the Career: In this role you will serve as an integral part of Wellmark's User Experience Design team, which sits within our Technology division at Wellmark, and partners closely with our Marketing division. You will be responsible for designing customer facing digital products including responsive websites and mobile applications that drive our digital and user experience strategy. You will be accountable for balancing user and business needs with product requirements and technical constraints, and transforming into user focused, intuitive interfaces for mobile and web.

    Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

    • Bachelors degree or direct and equivalent experience
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience designing, executing and advocating user experience principles / methodologies, sketching, wire-framing and mockup creation experience. 
    • Track record of applying common user centered design practices and tools to solve tough design problems
    • Ability to prototype what you design
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
    • Passion for Design and User Experience
    • Experience with user research and testing
    • Experience designing across multiple form factors (desktop, tablet, mobile, laptop)
    • Ability to collaborate with others, facilitate sesssions as needed, and influence others

    Hiring Specifications Preferred

    • Master’s degree
    • Certified Usability Analyst from Human Factors International
    • Experience with Sketch
    • Presentation skills (Technology and Business presentations)
    • Experience with Agile Scrum SDLC preferred

     

    Job Accountabilities

    a. Responsible for executing visual and UX design for a variety of channels. Plan, design, and enhance the user experience of Wellmark applications. Work to identify gaps in existing user experiences and make recommendations for improvement.

    b. In collaboration with the Sr UX Designer, Stakeholder Experience and other business stakeholders, will coordinate and manage project workload and ensure that work product meets business requirements.

    c. Responsible for the development of wireframes, process flows, prototypes, high fidelity mockups, and detailed UI and visual design specifications. Will validate designs through reviews, usability testing.

    d. Identify industry best practices for user experience and ensure that they are leveraged throughout organization to address business and user goals.

    e. Other duties as assigned.
