Job Summary

About the Career: Wellmark is hiring the brand new role of Team Leader Technology Office.  In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the business of Technology through the creation of a technology roadmap, senior leadership reporting, overseeing IT operational activities, including technology vendor governance and technology metrics and onboarding.

Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or direct and applicable work experience 
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience: 
    • Prior experience in facilitating, creating and managing the development of a technology roadmap; including identifying needs, and industry trends.
  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience delivering consultative analytical support including forecasting of future results through analysis of past trends, expected future trends and business awareness/understanding
  • Leadership typically gained through a combination of informal leadership that demonstrates competencies 
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to concisely and effectively communicate to various audiences to include senior leadership
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, with the ability to influence decisions to get optimal results

Hiring Specifications Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field 
  • Professional Certification (e.g. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Project Management Professional (PMP))
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry
  • Prior experience leading a team of Project/Product Managers while providing thought leadership to project planning

Job Accountabilities

a. Provide day-to-day leadership of financial and human resources, primarily focusing on employee and leader coaching and
mentoring, development, performance management and improvement, coordination and budgeting for staff, and department(s) specific
functions/services. Ensure succession plan is in place for key positions.

b. In collaboration with Technology senior leadership teams, facilitate planning sessions to create a technology roadmap of initiatives
and other senior leadership reporting.

c. Support the overall IT operational activities and the Technology governance function by partnering with teams across Technology to
ensure vendor staff is meeting deliverables and SLA’s.

d. Partner with procurement on vendor selections, ensuring consistency in vendor requests and onboarding vendors. Responsible for
tracking vendor performance and facilitating vendor performance / governance meetings and overall relationship management.

e. Lead centralized technology invoice review and processing function.

f. Provide ownership and oversight for generating and publishing Wellmark Technology metrics. Responsible for creating and
executing a metrics roadmap to include vendor performance.

g. Partner with finance to obtain and understand the overall technology budget.

h. Collaborate with leaders across Wellmark Technology to understand staff augmentation needs. Manage and facilitate the process on
staff augmentation resource requests, fulfillment and metrics.

i. Other duties as assigned.
