As Trainer II, you’ll be responsible for the design, facilitation, and measurement of training using a variety of delivery methods for multiple audiences primarily within Medical Management. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to create measurable objectives for the training and design/implementation of measurement tools, and you’ll design and deliver training that reflects adult learning principles and accelerated learning techniques. You’ll also perform administrative support tasks as necessary, including maintaining training supplies and materials, coordinating facilities, developing agendas, and coordinating activities for formal training programs. Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or direct and applicable work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with the design and facilitation of training programs. This includes the ability to manage projects, consult with subject matter experts to elicit content, and develop user-friendly deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively facilitate instructor-led training to diverse audiences, including clinical staff. Polished, professional, and engaging in delivery with ability to encourage discussion and engagement in participants.
  • Effective planning, time management, prioritization and organization skills. Flexible and adaptable with changing priorities. Ability to multi-task and manage projects independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships. Ability to give and take feedback in a constructive manner, and to foster cooperation and collaboration across teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Office. Aptitude to learn new applications or technology solutions quickly.

Hiring Specifications Preferred

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Health insurance or health care industry experience.
  • Experience with developing project plans and leading implementations.
  • Learning Management System (LMS), Adobe Captivate, MS Project, or related technical experience.

Job Accountabilities

a. Consult with various stakeholders and subject matter experts (SME’s) to create and/or deliver training to meet the needs of Medical Management and the organization. Collaborate with SME’s and external vendors on course and subject matter content to ensure training objectives and measurement outcomes are met, content is relevant to audience, and training sessions are delivered timely, effectively and within budget.

b. Conduct training needs assessments with stakeholders and SMEs to determine appropriate delivery to Medical Management. Proactively consult to these individuals to identify and recommend the appropriate resources and/or training aids to meet the learning needs. Understand design and development needs to incorporate adult learning methods and principles as appropriate, including online training courses, instructor-led, etc.

c. Use multiple applications to design, develop and deliver training—e.g., PPT, Word, Excel, Web applications, Wellmark systems, virtual training tools, etc. Ensure the training material is maintained/updated at all times for content and design changes.

d. Coordinate, track and evaluate effectiveness of the training program design and delivery through classroom interaction, surveys, and feedback. Communicate with leadership the results and make recommendations for improvement opportunities. Continually update and develop training based on feedback.

e. Conduct training needs assessment through ongoing evaluation and analysis to provide recommendations to Medical Management leadership on upcoming training initiative needs, such as program implementations, care platform upgrades, and process changes that impact the department. Take a proactive lead to ensure that Medical Management training stays in front of the needs of the organization by understanding the training and development needs that will come out the initiatives that impact the division.

f. Ensure the successful onboarding and continued development of Medical Management staff.

g. Comply with regulatory standards, accreditation standards and internal guidelines; remain current and consistent with the standards pertinent to the Medical Management Operations team.
