What’s the Culture & Inclusion Team? Our Human Resources department integrates everything from the recruiting process, employee engagement, culture & inclusion, and employee benefits. The Culture & Inclusion team’s focus is employee engagement as it relates to Wellmark’s company culture and its inclusion efforts within Wellmark and in the community. You will have the opportunity to be involved with many of Wellmark’s inclusion efforts, meet many individuals across the HR department and develop an understanding of a variety of roles and skills as well as work with subject matter experts.

 

What projects might I support?  As a Culture Engagement intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects such as: 

  • Assist team members as needed in the planning of workforce engagement events and programs (Employee Appreciation Week, Service Recognition Dinner pre-work, and Inclusion Council internal and community events)
  • Help motivate and drive participation among our Internship Program
  • Develop and edit Intranet content to support internal communication efforts
  • Support the three teams that make up the Organizational Development Team (Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and Culture and Inclusion) through various events and meetings

This internship will start in May of 2018.

Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

To be considered, candidates must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Business Management, Event Planning, Human Resources or related program and have:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and motivate others
  • Ability to articulate and demonstrate the value of diversity and inclusion
  • Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong attention to organization, accuracy and details
  • Ability to work independently

Hiring Specifications Preferred

  • Previous internship or experience in an office environment
  • Photography experience with digital formats and Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
