Job Summary

In this role, you will oversee and drive architectural design and implementation of solutions for Wellmark’s Enterprise Messaging and Collaboration Services team including collaboration tools, application virtualization, desktop virtualization, mobile, productivity suite (o365) and messaging. You will drive the establishment and support of IT policies, procedures, standards, tools, methodologies, process improvements and migration strategies to support current and future needs of Enterprise Messaging and Collaboration Services.

 

Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

  • Bachelor’s degree or direct and relatable work experience in the field of computer science
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in collaboration, application virtualization, and/or productivity tools
    • Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development to include architecting solutions
    • Strong technical knowledge of Office 365 which includes all products and services
    • Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (AD) Connect / Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and Microsoft cloud identity management technologies   
    • Strong architectural understanding of Citrix product set (Including, but not limited to XenApp, XenDesktop, Netscaler, XenMobile)
    • Demonstrated architectural knowledge of Microsoft communications and collaboration systems (Exchange, Lync, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business)   
    • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve fairly complex and software issues for Citrix, Exchange, Skype for Business, Office365 messaging and collaboration systems and client software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to excel in a highly service oriented environment that is focused on the end user experience
  • Previous formal leadership or informal leadership experience typically gained through a combination of project leadership and/or mentoring opportunities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as presentation skills that can be adjusted based on the audience 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • 4+ years formal leadership experience coaching/mentoring others by providing guidance and feedback to help an employee to strengthen their knowledge and skills

Job Accountabilities

a. Provide leadership and day to day management of financial and human resources, primarily focusing on employee coaching, development, performance improvement, coordination and budgeting for staff and departments specific functions/services. Support business objectives and produce results that are effective, accurate, and timely and on target to meet HR team and stakeholder needs.

b. Oversee and drive architectural design and implementation of solutions for Wellmark's Enterprise Collaboration Services team including collaboration tools, application virtualization, office tools and messaging, such as Office 365.

c. Drive the establishment and support of IT policies, procedures, standards, tools, methodologies, process improvements and migration strategies to support current and future needs of Enterprise Collaboration Services.

d. Lead and participate in complex projects that impact multiple Business Units and is responsible for all Enterprise Collaboration Services projects. Develop and assesses project and technology alignment with prescribed architectures, federal and state regulatory requirements, migration roadmaps, and IS standards / policies.

e. Design, build, and execute processes that ensure the delivery of quick and accurate problem identification and resolution serving as an escalation point for other teams, business units, and customers leveraging the expertise and services of technology partners and service providers.

f. Facilitate a team environment by which members can work with the highest degree of efficiency.

g. This position will benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the Enterprise Collaboration Services infrastructure and systems including but not limited to system performance, user experience and service delivery.

h. Lead the engineering, implementation, maintenance, development and upgrade of IT systems for Enterprise Collaboration Services.

i. Collaborate with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations and service delivery while directing research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts while keeping current with the latest technologies.
