About The Role: As Trainer II, you’ll be responsible for the design, facilitation, and measurement of training using a variety of delivery methods for internal stakeholders as well as external brokers/agencies. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to create measurable objectives for the training and design/implementation of measurement tools and you’ll design and deliver training that reflects adult learning principles and accelerated learning techniques. You’ll also perform administrative support tasks as necessary, including maintaining training supplies and materials, coordinating facilities, developing agendas and coordinating activities for formal training programs.

Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or direct and applicable work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with the design and facilitation of training programs. This includes the ability to manage projects, consult and partner with subject matter experts to elicit content, and develop user-friendly instructional materials.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively facilitate instructor-led training to diverse audiences. Polished, professional and engaging in delivery with ability to encourage discussion and engagement in participants.
  • Effective planning, time management, prioritization and organization skills. Flexible and adaptable with changing priorities. Ability to multi-task and manage projects independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships. Ability to give and take feedback in a constructive manner, and to foster cooperation and collaboration across teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to travel 25%. Valid driver’s license required.

Hiring Specifications Preferred

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Health insurance industry experience.
  • Experience working in sales with understanding of consultative selling and relationship management techniques.
  • Experience with developing project plans and leading implementations.
  • Learning Management System (LMS), Adobe Captivate, MS Project, GoToWebinar or related technical experience.

Job Accountabilities

a. Consult with various stakeholders and subject matter experts SMEs to create and/or deliver training to meet the needs of the Sales organization. Collaborate with SMEs and external vendors on subject matter content to ensure training objectives and outcomes are met, content is relevant to audience and training sessions are delivered timely, effectively and within budget.

b. Conduct initial training needs assessments with stakeholders and/or SMEs to determine appropriate training delivery to Sales organization. Proactively consult with stakeholders/SMEs to identify the appropriate resources and/or training aids to meet the learning needs of the Sales organization. Understand design and development needs to incorporate adult learning methods and principles as appropriate including eLearning, classroom training, webinars and just-in-time communications.

c. Use multiple applications to design and develop training PPT, Word, Excel, Web applications, Wellmark systems, etc. Ensure the training material is updated for content and design changes.

d. Coordinate, track and evaluate effectiveness of the training program design and delivery through classroom interaction, surveys and feedback. Communicate to leadership the results and make recommendations for improvement. Continually update and develop training based on feedback.

e. Ensure consistent, high quality service by developing and maintaining dedicated, strong relationships with stakeholders. Negotiate with stakeholders on timelines and project task specifications. Be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities, timelines and direction, as well handle multiple projects.

f. Use project tracking software to log, track and analyze training projects and provide regular reports on the progress of projects.

g. Perform design and development duties within the time schedule and be able to work fast without compromising on the quality of the training.

h. Other duties as assigned.
