Our Digital Content Coordinator will primarily provide production support to the digital content team by writing, editing, curating, and publishing content across our digital properties. This individual will be responsible for website content additions, deletions, and enhancements including new web content sections in order to support business objectives in the digital environment. Additionally, this individual will complete tasks in alignment with digital content strategy and will ensure the efficient, timely delivery of output from the team.

Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

  • Bachelor's Degree or direct and applicable work experience.
  • Relevant work experience in digital marketing, desktop/web publishing, digital development, or a related role.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, InDesign, Dreamweaver, CMS software, and an aptitude to learn new software/technology quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders or teams.
  • Analytical and attentive to details.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills with demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision and as a member of a team to support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well within a corporate environment and drive results through collaboration and strong interpersonal skills. Flexible and adaptable to change.

Hiring Specifications Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • HTML experience.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools, such as Google Analytics.
  • Effective consulting skills, including the ability to maintain awareness of customer needs and develop solutions that meet expectations.

Job Accountabilities

a. Write, edit, and curate content across Wellmark's digital properties including Wellmark.com as well as various portals e.g. member, broker, employer, and provider. Coordinate and support efforts for the content calendar.

b. Publish content using a content management system e.g. Sitecore and/or TeamSite. Integrate content with templated headers, navigation, and page layouts.

c. Creates new HTML pages following existing templates. Implements tools and content into Web sites and ensure all interactivity functions properly before deploying. Assists with testing new tools as needed.

d. Complete daily incoming Web content change requests and complete the work in accordance with department timing guidelines. Examples include making updates to HTML, creating new HTML pages within defined templates, reconfiguring page layouts and creating and deploying interactive forms, and execution of reports.

e. Maintain desk level procedures for content updates including all meaningful access and nondiscrimination requirements.

f. Proofread content thoroughly and edit material to ensure language, tone, and grammar are Web appropriate and in compliance with Wellmark's brand guidelines, Web Style Guide, MA/ND guidelines and journalistic standards. Responsible for ensuring compliance with Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, and other regulatory entity guidelines. Ensures that materials are reviewed, when necessary, by our internal legal department.

g. Compile monthly audits of digital deployments to ensure compliance with all standards and regulations. Develops process to execute identified changes from monthly audit process.

h. Participate in Web content projects as needed. Collaborate with Marketing and cross-functional teams to curate and deploy content changes. Examples include updating links, posting press releases, and updates to Chairman's newsletter.

i. Stay current with and adapting new and emerging Web site trends and monitoring other Plans sites. Makes suggestions and recommendations to the rest of the team and assist with implementation.

j. Other duties as assigned.
