Job Summary

About the Career: In support of the Enterprise Portfolio planning process, you will perform analysis of business capabilities, through the development and translation of project business opportunities and performance drivers. You will also partner and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to synthesize data and translate into actionable enterprise plan and break solutions into manageable components and work break down structures.

Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. OR equivalent and related work experience.
  • 5+ yrs. of enterprise-wide multi-program business systems/analysis, or technical systems analysis experience.  Prior experience managing stakeholder expectations though collaboration and influence.
  • Experience and comfort effectively working with ambiguity and decomposing ambiguous work efforts into meaningful tasks for others 
  • Experience leading the work and influencing others without authority 
  • Demonstrated high threshold for quality and how quality is impacted by cross functional and related work efforts 
  • Experience - creating - strong collaborative relationships with project managers and proven skills in building relationships and influencing people across the organization to break down barriers and foster collaboration 
  • Knowledge of software development processes and understanding of technical platforms, including technical and systems environment and enterprise architecture 
  • Knowledge of project management essentials and fundamentals and proven process improvement results 
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skills with large and complex stakeholder groups 
  • Experience in brokering consensus among stakeholders, including issue resolution, negotiation and conflict management skills 
  • Proven ability to take initiative and demonstrate flexibility to play various roles on a project as needed 
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask 
  • Demonstrated ability to produce results, including ability to see a task through to completion independently or as a team member, meeting committed deadlines.

Hiring Specifications Preferred

Job Accountabilities

a. Collaborate with business stakeholders in the identification of business capabilities to support overall development and delivery of the enterprise plan. Responsible for analysis of capability data and interprets results and makes recommendations based on findings

b. Analyze and interpret data using internal and external data sources to draw conclusions and support recommendations made to stakeholders that will help to achieve business goals

c. Support the development and implementation of a business capability roadmap. Support the Capability Planning Lead in the collaboration with business and Technology teams to consolidate cross-division business capabilities in an effort to prioritize, create, maintain and rationalize capability needs to support Wellmark strategy and the portfolio planning process.

d. Identify capabilities needed in order to support the overall Wellmark enterprise strategy. Build a multiyear roadmap that supports the implementation of business capabilities

e. In collaboration with the Capability Planning lead, will assist in the assessment of the maturity of current business capabilities and work with leadership to identify opportunities to enhance them.

f. Accountable for maintaining and updating division plans for the enterprise.

g. Seek ways to apply new technology to, and reuse existing technology for, business processes research and provide information on technical trends and competitors practices relevant to assigned business partners.

h. Identify areas of opportunity for optimization to deliver meaningful business value and act as a change agent to drive continual improvements to the organization.

i. Manage multiple tasks, data collection and reporting initiatives while supporting participation in cross-functional projects and other initiatives.

j. Independently complete reports, dashboards and analytical tasks. Assist with and support complex reports and analytic tasks including basic statistical analysis, what if analyses, and other analytical techniques.
